Canary has been recognised by Avance Media as one of the 100 most influential Africans alongside other influential personalities top Afro Beat artistes; Burna Boy, Davido, media personalities like Larry Madowo, Heads of state like Burkina Faso’s Interim President Capt. Ibrahim Traoré among others

Canary believes in holding power accountable through telling the untold stories about governments in Africa. But he also believes in using his platform to change and shape narratives around Africa. He goes by the phrase; The African Story must be told by Africans.

Canary has also extensively covered pivotal issues in East Africa, including elections in Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda. He’s interviewed four Heads of State. He remains steadfast in his belief in the vital role of journalism in holding power accountable and uncovering untold narratives about African governments.
